23 Weeks

How far along? 23 Weeks
Maternity clothes? rockin them
Stretch marks? Still in the clear
Sleep: Sleeping good... so good that it's hard to get up in the morning
Best moment this week: Had an appt last Fri at 23 weeks.  We got to see the baby moving all around and he was especially active since right before I drank that awful sugary orange drink for the glucose screening.  It was awesome seeing the baby but not so awesome having to chug that drink in 5 minutes.
Food cravings: I was really excited about a work trip to SF this week b/c I was going to be flying into Oakland where my favorite ice cream (Fentons) is IN the airport.  Well... I just got back today and to make a long story short was rushed to get on a flight so couldn't get my ice cream. Wah. BUT the good news is I'm going to visit my brother and sister-in-law this wknd in SLC and I have a layover in Oakland... weird that I'm excited for a layover?  I think not.
Looking forward to: Painting the nursery! I think we finally landed on a color (Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue)  I also want to do a chair rail and either wainscoting or beadboard on the walls (see pics below of what we like)
Baby item of the week: Look at these adorable moccasins my sweet friend got for the baby. :) Thanks Auntie TT!

Here are some pictures of the wall moldings I like for the nursery...

And the last picture is the color we like for the nursery. What do you think?!

22 Weeks

How far along? 22 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Mom & Dad got me my first pair of maternity jeans, they are so comfortably amazing and make me think of this episode of Friends.
Stretch marks? Still using my lotions religiously
Sleep: No changes here
Best moment this week: Tim felt the baby kick twice this week! Baby B is moving around more and more and finally Tim believes me.
Food cravings: Deli sandwiches with chips that I can layer into the sandwich
Looking forward to: Our next Dr. appt on Friday, will be 23 weeks then!
Baby item of the week: Look at these Baby Toms... I'm in love.  And when I showed Tim his reaction was that anything that has skulls on it was awesome. Noted Tim, noted.

Celebrating Summer

Between all the back-to-school traffic and commercials we've been seeing in the last couple weeks it's been making me sad.  Summer is not over yet.  And to celebrate summer we decided to have a beach day.

It started out like this...

While I waited for Tim to get off work I made myself breakfast in bed.
I'm fancy, huh?

Left for the beach and got there around noon. Grey & overcast :( I had immediately regretted not bringing a sweatshirt as I sat wrapped in my towel taking pictures of Tim who was lovin the cool weather.
And then there was SUN!!!!
and SAND CRABS! PS - is it mating season? Tim went in the water and said the whole ground was covered in them...
I took pictures of Tim while he went exploring
And pictures of my belly & toes
It was a great day.

21 Weeks

How far along? 21 Weeks
Total weight gain: 10 lbs gained
Maternity clothes? Got some great items from Anthro this week that can grow with me :)
Stretch marks? still in the clear
Sleep: Sleeping great
Best moment this week: I went with my sister-in-law to check out Babies R Us... overwhelmed would be a great word to describe how that place makes you feel. But it got me that much more excited for Baby B!
Food cravings: Saw these in the store and decided to capitalize on them. Leggo my eggo.

Looking forward to: Labor Day wknd! I'm going to UT to visit my brother and his wife, I don't get to see them often enough. And UT has some great shopping to do while we're there.
Baby item of the week: We've been looking at cribs and I'm almost positive I want the Jenny Lind crib in white.  But I'm somewhat torn because I do also love this Modo two-tone crib.  Look how cute both of these cribs are in these nurseries.

Anthro Letters + Our Revamped Fireplace

Have you seen those amazing Zinc Letters from Anthropologie?  They are so simple and I really wanted some above our fireplace.  I have seen a lot of other people do them themselves so decided to try it!

The first step is to get your supplies:
  • Cardboard/Paper Machete Letters - I ordered mine from Hobby Lobby here.  I really like the font and they were only $2.47 each. Done and done.
  • Krylon Metallic Spray Paint - I bought mine from Walmart but I think you can get it at Home Depot or any type of hardware store.

Some people use wood letters or other forms so really it is just your preference.  I love the way the letters turned out!

Also, we Tim repainted the brick on our fireplace since this pic was taken.  Here it is now... I like it SO much better!  I need to do a little organizing of the items on the fireplace. I'll get there...

Half-way Baby!!! (20 Weeks)

How far along?: 20 Weeks
Maternity clothes? This week I dragged my friend to Forever 21... yes, yes I did.  Found a couple comfy dresses that will last me through summer.  I'm having a hard time rationalizing spending money on clothes that I'm only going to wear for a few months! Listening to the blaring music at forever 21 and shopping with teenagers is a sacrifice I'm willing to make to save a few bucks.
Stretch marks? still using my Mustela and lots of lotion to try to prevent
Sleep: Sleeping good, but Walter always sneaks up on our bed (waking me up) and lays at my feet which has added to my bathroom trips each night
Best moment this week: Hitting the half-way point this week! Feels so good to say that we are now over half-way there (since as I'm writing this I'm 20 weeks 5 days)
Food cravings/Food Joys: We went to 7-11 to get a slurpee this week and it just wasn't as good as I remember them.  Anyone who knows will understand how odd this sounds.  But I made up for it with sour licorice straws.
Looking forward to: Feeling baby kick from the outside... every time I think I can feel him, I grab Tim's hand to try to feel and he sits there blankly while I say, "There! did you feel that?"
Baby item of the week: I've been checking out car seats... any thoughts on this Chicco Keyfit 30 infant carseat?

On another note, look at this adorable pic of Max... and his dirty little puppy paws.
