32 Weeks

How far along? 32 Weeks, entering my eighth month, ALMOST THERE!
Maternity clothes? Still sportin them.  This week I tried to find a costume for Halloween this Thursday. I'll be dressing up at work.  It is a HUGE deal in my office.  There will be plenty of pictures to come.
Sleep: Feeling pretty lucky that I am still sleeping good, I've heard it gets pretty bad at the end.
Best moment this week: The weekend!  Work has been so busy lately that I'm reminded how grateful I am for the weekends.  Also it gives me time to do more baby prep.
Food cravings: I've been craving eggs over medium, you know where the yolk is all runny.  And that's a no no so for now I've been sticking with scrambled but daydreaming about my sourdough toast and runny yolk eggs on top... 8 weeks.
Looking forward to: Halloween!  We are hoping the weather cools down enough so that we can have a little firepit going in the driveway and pass out candy to all the kids in the neighborhood.  And if we have a firepit you know what that means, S'mores :)
Baby item of the week: I've been looking at blankets for the crib this week and am having kind of a tough time finding the one.  Here are a few I like.

I'm kind of all over the place with the styles I'm looking at, but I do like the more subtle ones and will probably go with a solid color blanket... we shall see.

Have a great week!

31 Weeks!

How far along? 31 WEEKS!!! Wowza
Maternity clothes? Yup, was enjoying wearing my new long sleeve maternity shirts but then it's back to warm weather again. Fall, please come back.
Sleep: Slept pretty good this week, finally feeling like this cold has gone away!
Best moment this week: Meeting my sweet nephew William Henry.  He is such a dream.  He just couldn't wait to get here and came 3 weeks early.  My SIL is a champ and both her and the baby are home and doing great.  Here he is...
I'm obsessed with those chubby lips, perfection.
Food cravings: Cereal. Cold cereal.  Could eat it 2 out of 3 meals a day.
Looking forward to: Introducing Will to Baby B!  Now that Will is here it's getting more real.  It used to seem so far away but only two months now!
Baby item of the week: I've been looking at mobiles for above the baby's crib and I am loving these Restoration Hardware ones.  Here are my favorites: vintage airplane mobile, animal mobile or this elephant mobile.

With the new baby here I got a chance to spend some time with my niece and nephew (Will's older brother and sister, Nate + Paige).  We had lots of play time and Auntie spoiling happening.
We braided hair.
And Auntie brought them doughnuts for breakfast. :)

And Uncle Timmy roughed up Nate.

Tim and I went to the pumpkin patch today to pick out some pumpkins for carving this week.
I found the perfect one! ;)
Oh and here's one of the pups while I was cooking this week, keeping their eyes on me should anything fall on the floor.  Cuteness.
Have a great week!!!

30 Weeks

How far along? 30 Weeks, only 10 weeks left! Woah.
Maternity clothes? Just got a couple dresses for the shower from ASOS, still trying to decide which one to go with..
Sleep: Slept great this week (minus a few back aches) as long as I had all my pillows
Best moment this week: We had our 4D ultrasound! It was AWESOME.  Our parents came along and the place was like a theater.  There was a huge projector and tons of room so both of our parents could sit.  Baby was active the whole time! I felt like he was showing off for us.  He kept snuggling his feet, he sucked on his toes, he yawned, he was sticking his tongue out... it was crazy to see that he can do all those things right now.  It's making me even more anxious for him to be here.

That would be a foot he is snuggling (above left), look how happy it makes him. Sigh.
Bottom left pic is one of my favorites, such a deep thinker my son is.

Food cravings: I made some pumpkin chocolate chip bread.  For this rookie right here, I'm going to say it turned out bomb.  I will definitely be making it again.

Looking forward to: Meeting my new nephew, William :)  My sister in law is most likely going to have him next weekend.  Can't wait to snuggle up on him.
Baby item of the week: My SIL was telling me about the Miracle Swaddling Blanket.  It is supposed to be the best swaddle blanket and help with colic, essentially it's supposed to live up to its name.  She got one and is going to try it out on Baby Will and then let me know.  Anyone else heard anything about this blanket?... Also does anyone else have a 28-year-old husband who is obsessed with this song?  So much so, that he downloaded an app that he can play the "fox noises" at any time.  Yeah... I think I might be the only one.  Anyways, it reminded me of this cute little fox, even if it does make me think of that song.

This week I was finally feeling better enough to go walking so I had to document it of course.  Here I am ready to go! Woot woot! (I promise our bed does not always look like this, it was sheet/duvet washing day ;)

Today I am off work for Columbus Day!  Me and all the bankers, so random, but I'll take it.  I'll be picking up some dark wood stain so that Tim can get the arms of our rocker stained today and then we can drop it off to get reupholstered. Have a great Columbus day and week!!!

Gossip Bench Goodness

Who has heard of a gossip bench?!  If you have, and you've been holding out on me shame on you.  I am obsessed with these adorable pieces of furniture.  We were lucky enough to get one!  The piece has been in Tim's family for years and I love that we get to keep it with a fresh new look in our home.  I actually did this furniture makeover a LONG time ago (like before I was pregnant a long time ago).  But I love how it turned out and thought I'd share.

This was my very first painting furniture experience EVER.  I didn't really know what to expect but I followed some great tips from this tutorial.  The one thing I did not have that I wish I did was an automatic sander.  This would have saved me hours and probably made the whole experience take about a quarter of the time that it did.  Nonetheless now I know for my future furniture painting extravaganzas.

Here it is at the start

Here it is after what felt like days of sanding it down

Tada!  And here is the finished product! I used Benjamin Moore Woodlawn Blue paint and got the knob from Anthropologie.

29 Weeks

How far along? 29 Weeks
Monthly Check in: 17 lbs gained, got a stretch mark RIGHT on my behind, thought it was a scratch! Here we go!
Maternity clothes? Yes, just ordered a couple dresses to try for the baby shower :)
Sleep: Got a lot of sleep this last week since I was home sick but nights were pretty rough.  The humidifier definitely helped.
Best moment this week: Feeling the baby doing what feels like somersaults in my stomach. :)
I am so bummed.  I was supposed to be in Chicago this week for work but got completely taken out by a nasty cold/flu and was literally in bed almost the entire week.  It was not fun.  While I feel like I did my best to recover fast, the highlight of this week was when I was feeling better and actually left the house!  I kept getting nervous about coughing so hard and it affecting baby but he's been a trooper and kickin away.
Food cravings: Soup, not sure if it was because I was sick and the windy cooler weather but soup has been delicious this week.  Had some chicken noodle (homemade by Tim, he's a way better cook than I am)
Looking forward to: Our 4D ultrasound!  I'll be 30 weeks on Fri and they say this is a good time to get one.  We can't wait.
Baby item of the week: I'm looking for a pouf or an ottoman for the nursery.  So far the stuffed Moroccan Pouf is my top pick.  There is a similar one in this adorable nursery here or a blue one in the picture below.

I did a lot of relaxing and getting better this week which consisted of a lot of pics of these guys.

Had a garage sale yesterday which ended up being a bust but look who scored from it.
Is it weird that there was a 28 year old bearded man riding around on this in our neighborhood?  This goped used to be my little brother's when we were kids.  My dad brought it over to sell at the garage sale.  It hadn't been started in probably ten years.  Tim was so giddy fixing it and then riding it around after.

And here's a few pics from dinner at my parents today.  Had a little photoshoot action.  (Left Pic) BreAnne & I - she's trying to keep baby Will in as long as possible but he is getting impatient! (Right Pic) Me & my momma
